Massage Therapy is a holistic practice treating muscles, tendons, ligaments and surrounding tissues. Massage therapy can be used on its own to lengthen and soften various structures, or it can be used in conjuction with physiotherapy treatments.
Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissues to help alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stressors, many chronic pain conditions and muscular pain.
Cupping is an adjunct to massage and may be utilised to help lengthen and soften the soft tissues. There are multiple uses for cupping, however in the clinic it is used by our therapist to alter your soft tissue integrity.
Numerous types of massage are available at Village Physio including: remedial, relaxation, sports, pregnancy and manual lymphatic drainage.
