Taping and CAM Boots

Need weekend sport taping done? Struggling to find the right boot size? If Village Physiotherapy Shellharbour doesn't have the size, we will get it for you!

At Village Physiotherapy Shellharbour, all our therapists are qualified in the application of tape and boots.

When taping we use either rigid (sports) or K-tape. Rigid tape application is used to prevent a movement. Similarly K-tape can be used to prevent movement or help optimise an area whilst performing specific training exercises. At Village Physiotherapy Shellharbour we utilise both rigid and K-Taping techniques. If you require tape, our team will perform a comprehensive assessment of the region. Taking into consideration your sporting/work commitments and area of injury. If you require taping prior to weekend sport, this can be organised for a small fee.

Our clinic supplies high quality boots for those requiring them due to a traumatic ankle injury, foot fracture, or if you are required to rest your foot/ankle due to a long list of other issues. If you need a boot and we dont have the size in stock, we can get it for you ASAP. Our team with ensure your boot fits well prior to you leaving the clinic.

We also supply paediatric boots.

Exos Cast

We now stock EXOS Cast. This type of cast is an alternative to fibreglass. A new removable form of casting for fractures of the wrist and hand. Exos Cast has numerous benefits:

  • Reformable – allowing us to re-mould the brace to accommodate changes (swelling, muscle wasting) during the healing stages
  • Adjustable – minimising the risk of compartment syndrome and allowing YOU to find your fit
  • Waterproof – beach, pool, showering – all a walk in the park with exos cast
  • Removable – you are able to remove your brace (if recommended) making caring for your skin a breeze.
